I challenge this a bit (a) Codex was started as an internal tool. The goal was explicitly to build what was the highest leverage tool to accelerate infrastructure buildout. (b) I don’t think the Meta vs non-Meta is particularly enlightening here. Most of us who came from older tech companies were surprised at how far OpenAI had taken Python scripts and had a desire to scale OpenAI further. (c) A ton of infrastructure and internal tools were built over the last few years, it’s not the case that we were just waiting for AGI to appear.

Never gonna give you up Never gonna let you down Never gonna run around and desert you Never gonna make you cry Never gonna say goodbye Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you Thanks for reading. We will do a global reset of the usage for all paid subscriptions so that you can keep enjoying Astra after burning through all of it doing fun 3D modeling in blender. The work week is about to start. Lands around 6pm PST today.

回复 @twostraws

@twostraws You can use Astra from within the CC cli if you insist, but really you're missing out by not using the Codex desktop app. It gives Astra superpowers (computer use, sub-agent management, voice, non-blocking context gathering questions, ...)

回复 @Prathkum

@Prathkum It's possible though that we built Astra in just 2 days. Not probable, but possible
